If you’re worried about how you’re going to pay for your course and exams, we’ve got a few options for you to consider.
Some employers have schemes to pay for their staff to train and boost their knowledge. It’s worth approaching your learning and development team to see if there are opportunities for you to study AAT via your workplace.
AAT has launched a bursary to cover course, assessment, and membership fees up to £5000. To be eligible you’ll need to be over 16 years of age, live in the UK or want to study in the UK, and demonstrate that you’re in financial need. You can find out more on the AAT website.
It might sound obvious, but you can also pay for it yourself from your savings, or your earnings. When you’re studying online via distance learning, you can continue to work and study in your free time.
You could consider an apprenticeship which means you’ll work and study for a qualification at the same time. Employers pay for apprentices to study and qualify, as well as paying them a salary. So you won’t have to worry about course or assessment costs, and you’ll gain valuable experience and knowledge that’s relevant to your role.
You can also apply for grants and bursaries to help pay for courses and training. Usually, you do not have to pay this money back. For most grants and bursaries you apply directly to the organisation that gives them out. They’ll have an application form and will be able to tell you if you qualify. Turn2us.org.uk has a list of grants available for education and training that you might want to consider.
Our subscription plan makes it easier for you to pay as you go – you don’t have to pay everything in one lump sum. You can pay monthly, quarterly or yearly – whichever suits you best.
This method gives you the greatest amount of financial flexibility and means you have the freedom to start, pause, resume whenever you want.
The AAT bursary is the obvious place to start if you’re wanting to fund your AAT studies. Have a look at their website to see if you’re eligible and advice on how to apply.
